The William Turner brewery dray photograph has been rescanned at 600dpi resolution and with a bit of manipulation using MS Office Photo editor the enclosed image has been achieved, which does show the letters on the canopy reasonably clearly.

It appears to read:

FULLER SMITH & TURNER
GRIFFIN BREWERY CHISWICK
W T LASHMAR OXTED

Our warmest thanks are extended to the willing volunteer who undertook all this, but for the sake of privacy shall remain nameless here.

The new information does open another can of worms...

Why Fuller Smith & Turner of Chiswick and not Bushell Watkins & Smith of Westerham (who took Lashmar's Brewery over)?

The Conundrum gets deeper........
